In a hard-fought battle, Alexandre Pantoja defeated Steve Erceg by unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) in a flyweight bout at UFC 301. The fight took place live from Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was broadcast on ESPN.
Pantoja, the hometown favorite, was looking to make a statement in front of his home crowd. He started strong, but Erceg gave him a tough fight.
