History and Significance
Kynesgrove, also known as Dragonwood or Dragon Wood, is a forested settlement located in Eastern Eastmarch, south of the city of Windhelm. It is a sacred forest to the Nords, and is home to the Keepers of the Grove, an order of druids dedicated to its protection.
A Revered Sanctuary
Kynesgrove is considered a holy place by the Nords, and is said to be the birthplace of the goddess Kynareth, the goddess of the air. The forest is also believed to be the resting place of the Nordic hero Ysgramor, who founded the city of Windhelm.
